Leonor Varela is a Chilean actress who played the character of Nyssa Damaskinos in the 2002 film Blade II. Nyssa was a vampire and the daughter of the lead villain in the movie, Eli Damaskinos. She helps Blade and his team fight against her own father and his plans for creating a new breed of super-vampires called the Reapers.
Varela's performance in Blade II was praised by critics and fans alike, and helped to establish her as a rising star in the world of Hollywood. She later went on to appear in a number of other notable films and TV shows, including The Tailor of Panama, The Man in the Iron Mask, Arrested Development, and Dallas.
Varela has also been active in various humanitarian causes and is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She has worked to raise awareness about issues such as child trafficking, HIV/AIDS prevention, and gender equality in developing countries.
